This limited edition Never Summer x Grassroots Nokhu was designed from artwork by the legendary Stanley Mouse. At the bottom of the images, you can see the art that was sent from Mouse’s team for use on this board – I used his Jester from the left image and the rose from the right image. Then, I drew inspiration from Mouse’s other rendition of the Jester (center); using an arched frame in gold to make the artwork pop off the board, and recreating the checkerboard pattern in a new, yet familiar way. This graphic was a limited drop Nokhu sold by Never Summer in 2023, and was created during my time working there. The design was also sold as a skateboard graphic for both Never Summer and Grassroots, and turned into softgoods that Grassroots California sold.
